Job summary

Progress West Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit on day shift. This full-time, benefits-eligible role supports top-of-license care and patient safety within a comprehensive career ladder that rewards advancement.

You will perform assessments, care planning, and collaboration with an interprofessional team, promote patient and family centered care, and contribute to quality and regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree
• RN license

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family; communicates the plan of care across the continuum.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs per standards of care; assesses patient values and barriers to involvement in care.
