Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence in El Paso, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg to join our team. This full-time role provides direct clinical patient care on day shifts, with supervision of nursing staff and collaboration with the charge nurse.

The successful candidate will be licensed as an RN, have an approved nursing program degree, CPR certification, and preferably recent acute care experience. Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduation from a state approved nursing school or accredited program.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care on Med Surg units per shift.
• Supervise staff on the unit and coordinate patient care with the CNO.
• Administer medications safely and per hospital policy.
• Respond to emergencies and adhere to hospital codes.
• Ensure quality, safety and infection control standards across care delivery.
