Job summary

Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg unit, day shift, full-time. You will provide direct patient care, perform comprehensive assessments, and collaborate with the health care team to implement individualized plans of care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, CPR, and ongoing certification in stroke care, ACLS, NRP/STABLE as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited college or school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Stroke/NICU/ACLS/NRP/STABLE certifications as applicable must be obtained within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct quality patient care based on the plan of care and delegate appropriately.
• Perform timely comprehensive assessments and document findings.
• Develop, implement and evaluate the plan of care with the team.
• Administer medications according to facility standards and monitor for safety.
• Observe, report patient progress and communicate with physicians.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education as needed.
