Citizens Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med/Surg – Nights. You will provide direct patient care, assess patients, participate in care planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This full-time night shift role emphasizes safety, documentation, and adherence to policies. Requires Texas RN license, graduation from an accredited program, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited college, university or school of nursing.
• Current license as Registered Nurse in Texas.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care based on the plan of care and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Participate in professional development to enhance patient-focused nursing practice.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings for care planning.
• Develop and evaluate the plan of care with the care team.
• Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives.
• Administer medications safely according to hospital standards.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to physicians.
• Discharge planning coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
• Record vital signs, inputs/outputs, and other observations accurately.
• Promote safety and compliance with HIPAA and patient rights.
