Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking Experienced Med/Surg Nurses for an open requisition across all Orlando Health Hospitals. This is not tied to one specific job but covers multiple units and facilities in Florida.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop a care plan based on patient needs and responses.
• Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Advise patients and families as a patient advocate.
• Provide age-appropriate nursing care with unit/department skills.
• Serve as preceptor, charge nurse, or unit educator as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team for planning and management.
• Assist in coordinating care and delegating tasks to team members.
• Document patient care accurately and in compliance with standards.
• Demonstrate competency in nursing skills and equipment use.
• Identify problems and resolve them effectively.
• Communicate patient condition and unit concerns to health care team.
• Provide compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Respect legal issues and patients’ rights.
• Support onboarding and ongoing education for new staff and students.
• Maintain attendance and compliance with policies.

Education

Graduate of an approved school of nursing

State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license

BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
