Job summary

Henry Ford Genesys Hospital is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a 60–90 day contract, 36 hours per week, with every third weekend shifts. The 7:00am–7:30pm schedule spans a 13-week cycle, and assignments may be deployed to units with greatest staffing needs.

The nurse must be licensed in Michigan and able to adapt to dynamic staffing needs. The role emphasizes patient care quality, teamwork, and adherence to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license with the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.
• Commitment to completing the full 60–90 day temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units, adapting to assignments based on staffing needs.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care while upholding clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and Michigan Board of Nursing standards.
