Job summary

SSM Health Ripon Medical Center in Wisconsin is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit. The role provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols, with a 36-hour work week on night shifts.

No experience required. Current RN license with BLS is required; opportunities exist across multiple state licenses. The job emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and building relationships with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s) by evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Establishes effective relationships and serves as an advocate with the patient, family, and significant other(s) to facilitate the development of the care plan.
• Uses the nursing process to develop and implement the plan of care, collect assessment data, determine diagnoses, and evaluate outcomes.
• Develops assessment and management strategies based on comprehensive patient needs across physical, cultural, social and spiritual dimensions.
• Coordinates with the inter-professional team to assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Educates the patient, family, and significant other(s) about measures that promote health and comfort.
