Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Job – 15-Week Contract in Hilo, Hawaii

Med/Surg RN Job Details – Hilo, Hawaii

Location: Hilo, Hawaii (96720) – Hawaii travel nursing opportunity
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Start Date: August 25, 2025
End Date: December 8, 2025
Hours: 36 hours per week (after orientation)
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; flexibility required for day and night shifts
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680–$1800
Unit: Medical-Surgical Adult (may float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units)
Facility Size: 50-bed hospital
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Dress Code: Professional nursing attire; closed-toe shoes; no specific scrub color

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Hawaii RN license required by start date
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
Ability to work flexible shifts and float to other healthcare units as needed

Float to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units as required
Maintain accurate electronic documentation and uphold patient safety standards
Participate in department-specific training and orientation during the first week
