Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to assigned patients, using the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position supports a per diem, rotating schedule in Newton, MA, with a pay range of $46 to $110 per hour.

The RN must hold an MA license and a nursing degree; 1 year Med/Surg experience is required with telemetry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year Med/Surg experience required.
• Current RN License in Massachusetts required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certificate or diploma in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Oversee other assigned team members.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care.
• Ensure quality of nursing practice through participation in performance improvement activities.
• Provide safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, and co-workers.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members to facilitate a comprehensive educational plan.
