Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced RN to join a dedicated Med-Surg team in Texas. You will assess and manage care for adult patients, monitor recovery, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Eligible candidates hold a Texas RN license (or compact state), ADN or BSN, and current BLS (ACLS preferred). This 12-hour shift role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits to support work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and operate medical equipment safely.
• Provide bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Document progress and ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist pre- and post-operative care, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and support quality initiatives.

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for adult medical-surgical patients
• Admit and monitor patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and post-surgical recovery
• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and manage medical equipment safely
• Provide direct bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and specialists for coordinated care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with all standards
• Support pre- and post-operative care while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in unit-based quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care or Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends as needed
