The position requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of medical terminology, BLS certification upon hire, and ability to handle physical demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Understanding of effective communication and teamwork.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities to meet care needs under licensed supervision.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs.
• May facilitate clinical exams with peripheral devices and telehealth software to ensure comprehensive virtual encounters.
