Job summary

Grand Canyon University invites applications for a Clinical Nursing Faculty position in Med/Surg. This full-time role supports clinical instruction, student evaluation, and integration of current teaching methods and technologies across rotations in the Metropolitan Phoenix area.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing and an active Arizona RN license, with at least two years in medical/surgical nursing and teaching experience preferred. Travel to student sites is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach clinical content and evaluate student performance.
• Familiarity with current teaching methodologies, technologies, and trends in nursing education.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensing nursing.
• Collaborates with faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading and assessment of clinical and lab performance.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and attends select meetings.
• Stays current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to student clinical sites to observe performance.
