Job summary

Trinity Oakland is seeking a Director of Med Surg to lead multiple patient care areas in alignment with ANA standards and Trinity’s leadership model. The role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer, driving clinical governance, quality improvement, and nurse satisfaction across units.

The director will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and collaboration with care teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes and professional practice, in a faith-based health system based in Michigan.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic goals and programs to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization and the Quality Plan for Nursing.
• Uses data and evidence to guide best practice and continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with care team members to create a motivating environment that supports shared governance and patient-centered care.
• Fosters partnerships with physicians and other care team members for effective planning and care processes.
• Ensures successful organizational change through effective resource utilization and project management.
