Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is hiring a Med Surg Nursing Assistant for full-time day shift. Under RN supervision, you support patients with basic daily living activities, assist with mobility and meals, and help maintain comfort and dignity in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella or immunity is required.
• Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic daily living activities including bathing, hygiene, bedding, turning and repositioning, and meals under RN direction.
• Obtain vital signs and support patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse.

A Day inthe Life

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support to the patient by assisting with basic care for daily living including bathroom assistance, bathing, maintaining hygiene, changing bedding, turning and repositioning, assisting in ambulation, serving and assisting with meals, and obtaining vital signs.

What’s Required

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
