Job summary

Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan's largest health system, is seeking a Med Surg Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide essential patient care, assist with daily living activities, meals, and vital signs in a supportive, compassionate environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, plus annual flu vaccination or an approved exemption.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella or lab-confirmed immunity is required.
• Flu vaccine during flu season or approved exemption is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathroom needs, bathing, hygiene, turning/repositioning, ambulation, meals, and obtaining vital signs.

A Day in the Life

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support to the patient by assisting with basic care for daily living including bathroom assistance, bathing, maintaining hygiene, changing bedding, turning and repositioning, assisting in ambulation, serving and assisting with meals, and obtaining vital signs.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
