Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Med Surg Nursing Assistant in Gaylord, MI. Under RN supervision, you will assist with basic nursing tasks including bathing, hygiene, mobility, meals, and vital signs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and compliance with vaccination requirements; full-time day shift in Gaylord, Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella; flu vaccine required or exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic care for daily living (bathroom, bathing, hygiene).
• Change bedding, turn and reposition patients, assist with ambulation.
• Serve meals and assist with eating; obtain and document vital signs.

A Day inthe Life

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support to the patient by assisting with basic care for daily living including bathroom assistance, bathing, maintaining hygiene, changing bedding, turning and repositioning, assisting in ambulation, serving and assisting with meals, and obtaining vital signs.
