Gunnison Valley Health is seeking a Med/Surg Nurse Manager to lead the Med/Surg Department, overseeing staffing, operations and patient care quality. The role partners with nursing leadership, providers and care teams to ensure safe, compassionate care and optimal patient flow in a welcoming Colorado hospital.

The ideal candidate has a BSN and at least 3 years in acute care, with leadership experience and Colorado RN license with BLS.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within three years of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience; prior charge nurse/supervisor/leadership experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• We are committed to improving community health by delivering exceptional care. As leader of the Med/Surg Department you will oversee daily M/S staffing/operations and promote a safe, therapeutic work environment.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, providers, case management, social work and support services to plan, direct and evaluate patient care for individuals and families.
• Provide leadership, coaching and accountability for nursing staff and other team members to ensure high-quality care.
• Ensure delivery of safe and effective care; optimize patient flow, staffing and resource allocation across the unit.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, patient safety and patient experience efforts and implement action plans as needed.
• Serve as liaison between M/S unit and other hospital departments to promote strong communication.
