Job summary

The Nurse Manager leads nursing duties and supervises staff delivering patient care in the assigned unit. They assume 24-hour responsibility for patient care management and operational standards in line with hospital policies.

They must have nursing leadership experience, an RN license in Georgia (or multistate), CPR certification, and strong communication and presentation skills to guide staff and ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Five years of related nursing leadership experience.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication for documentation and staff interactions.
• Demonstrates leadership, sound judgement and ability to organize.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel responsible for patient care.
• Assume 24-hour responsibility for management of patient care area.
• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and nursing practice for the unit.

Education

Associate Degree

Bachelor's degree within 2 years
