Job summary

Qualifications

• Program Graduate, Practical Nursing (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 1 year acute care experience (Preferred)
• LPN license- Virginia (Required) and CPR/BLS certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the RN, partners with patients and families to implement plan of care, treatments and procedures.
• Demonstrates urgency to facilitate patient throughput and ensure ethical care.
• Demonstrates nursing skills (vitals, blood sugars, administering treatments and medications) following protocols.
• Assesses patient education needs and documents response.
• Builds trusting relationships with multi-disciplinary team to support patient care.
• Completes clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritizes tasks to meet patient care needs and respond to emergencies.
