Job summary

The DRH Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Oklahoma to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care under RN/physician supervision. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

Applicants must complete an approved LPN program and hold an Oklahoma license; BLS is required, NIHSS may be required, and ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an LPN program and be licensed in Oklahoma.
• Current, unencumbered LPN license in OK.
• BLS required; may obtain within 30 days of hire.
• NIHSS required; may obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Travel positions require valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
• Safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the nursing process including planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians, providers, RNs, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Identifies patient care needs by establishing rapport and provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
• Administers medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized by state law to prescribe.
• Protects patients and team members by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
• Documents patient care services timely and accurately.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Delegating tasks as may safely be performed by others, consistent with educational preparation.
• Following the established care plan provides ongoing education for patients and families.
• Ensures operation of equipment by verifying preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Adapts assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate patient needs.
• Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education opportunities.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
• Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
• Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Per DRH policy, vaccination requirements.
• This position requires respirator and fit testing.
