Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Med Surg LPN to deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit under RN supervision.

You will assess, care for, and document patient status, while supporting daily living activities and patient advocacy. Strong teamwork and compassionate care are essential, with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Requires Tennessee or compact-state LPN license and completion of a Practical Nursing Program.
• BLS within 7 days of hire.
• CrItical thinking, sound judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision per scope and standards.
• Assist RN with patient assessment data collection for nursing analysis.
• Perform plan-of-care interventions including wound care and specimen collection; administer meds as directed.
• Document patient care and communicate status to RN, physician, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being; contribute to care plan development.
