Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Health Unit Coordinator for the Med/Surg Unit. This full-time, dayshift position is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:15pm, at Baptist South.

The HUC will perform clerical duties, answer call lights and phones, manage unit supplies, maintain patient chart folders, greet customers, and support nursing staff while upholding service excellence and patient-centered care. BLS is required; HS diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience requirements: None.

Responsibilities

• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly.
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment.
• Maintaining patient chart folders.
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
