Job summary

HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a PRN role. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment alongside a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will be a Florida-licensed RN with BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and experience in acute care. You will educate patients and families, document care, and support optimal outcomes in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
