Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - GB (CNA) for Great Bend Hospital on a part-time basis. You will support licensed staff by collecting data, following care plans, and documenting patient responses with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered service.

Must have CNA licensure and BLS; High School Diploma or GED; 6 months medical center experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general nursing assistant functions.
• High School Diploma or GED; some medical center experience preferred.
• Courses in medical terminology may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collects initial and ongoing data as delegated in regards to the health status of the patient based on chart documentation.
• Follows an individualized plan of care that promotes positive immediate and long-term outcomes for the patient/family and reflects the plan of the entire health care team.
• Carries out interventions safely and in compliance with policy to facilitate achievement of expected outcomes as delegated.
• Accurately documents patient response to intervention /therapy based upon expected outcomes.
• Carries out delegated patient care activities and communicates with other members of the healthcare team as evidenced by positive patient outcomes.
