Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in Georgia (state licensure and/or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure) required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required.
• NRP by end of orientation period
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
• PEARS Certification required.
• PALS if unit serves pediatric patients
• ACLS and PALS certification where applicable

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and handles operational issues during the shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader.
• Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
