OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist Registered Nurses in providing direct patient care on a Med Surg unit. You will help with activities of daily living, maintain room cleanliness, and support patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 16- and 17-year-olds without a high school diploma or GED may be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, grooming, eating, walking).
• Maintain environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit and equipment.
• Provide assistance to patients, visitors and nursing personnel and support patient experience and safety.
• Perform delegable nursing tasks delegated by the RN and collect data (height, weight, vital signs) and document appropriately.
• Competent in using portable technology to document intake/output and vital signs; report observations to the RN.
• Assist hospital visitors and staff with information needs and support care operations.
