Job summary

St. Bernards Healthcare in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication reconciliation for admitted patients. You will interview patients and families, collect allergy histories, and coordinate with local pharmacies and care teams to ensure accurate medication orders.

In addition to reconciliation, this role may assist in the inpatient pharmacy when needed and requires excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be licensed with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or have an LPN license before duties.
• National certification or acceptance into a professional program or a minimum of 2 years pharmacy experience.
• Excellent verbal communication, ability to work in a team and in stressful environments.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Pharmacy/healthcare experience with direct patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• A Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician will independently obtain medication and allergy histories for admitted patients, via interview and external sources.
• Information collected is entered into a computer system to guide treatment plans and orders.
• May assist in the main inpatient pharmacy when time allows.
