Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Mid-Level Medical Malpractice Defense Associate for our Long Beach/San Diego hybrid practice. The role allows remote work with in-office days, and requires California Bar admission with 2+ years in medical malpractice or related litigation.

Qualifications

• Must be an active member of the California Bar.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical malpractice or related litigation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid role, with some days required in the Manhattan Beach office.
• Deposition experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution, including client interviews, legal research, drafting pleadings, and hearings.
• Work closely with clients, healthcare providers, and expert witnesses to develop case strategies.
• Conduct case assessments and provide clients with clear guidance and representation.
• Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration where applicable.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and trial preparation.
