Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Irving, TX is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist 2 for a PRN, variable shift. This role performs a full range of lab tests, ensures quality control, and maintains equipment with minimal supervision.

Strong communication with lab staff and other disciplines is essential. Requires education in MLS/CLS and ASCP certification eligibility, plus flexibility for variable shifts and cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related work experience.
• ASCP/AMT/AMT or equivalent certification from a recognized body is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains quality control, QA, safety and infection control procedures.
• Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately reports test results.
• Maintains inventory and communicates effectively with laboratory personnel and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
