Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for a 6-month, onsite assignment in San Diego. This role supports med device processes within a regulated manufacturing environment and offers exposure to industry-leading diagnostics and devices.

You will calculate data for complex process flow sheets, model processes and units, ensure correct sequence of operation, and prepare specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent; minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pharmaceutical/biological processes and models.
• Calculate data for complex process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations.
• Model processes and unit operations; ensure correct sequence of operation.
• Prepare specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.
• Conduct tests and measurements to control temperature, density, pressure and viscosity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering problems with processes or equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulations; participate in corrective/preventive actions and investigations.
