Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Medication Aide/Med Tech in Kansas to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will administer meds, maintain MAR/TAR documentation, and monitor residents for adverse effects in a regulated setting.

The role emphasizes Six Rights of Medication Administration, infection control, and collaboration with nursing staff to protect resident safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years old.
• Active Medication Administration certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
