Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. You will administer medications per orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and observe residents during and after passes to ensure safety.

The role emphasizes following the Six Rights, maintaining organized medication areas, and upholding infection control and regulatory standards to protect residents’ health and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred
