Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech in the New York area to administer medications and treatments per physician orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitor residents during and after passes.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compliance with Six Rights and infection control standards to protect resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Senior care experience preferred
