They're seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechatronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, and deployment of robotic systems used in automotive environments. This role requires a combination of mechanical, electrical, and automotive expertise with a focus on field-readiness and system reliability. You’ll work closely with engineering and field teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, wire, and test robotic systems and subsystems
Perform system-level diagnostics, calibration, and troubleshooting
Support robotic deployments in the field, including customer site setup and go-live
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration and performance issues
Maintain configuration records and deployment documentation
Participate in product testing, data collection, and root cause analysis
Provide technical feedback to improve product design and reliability
Operate fabrication equipment and tools for light machining and metalwork as needed
Qualifications:
Hands-on automotive experience, especially with wheels, tires, or service systems
Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and diagnostic procedures
Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics
Experience with wiring, cable routing, and hardware integration
Familiarity with fabrication techniques including machining, welding, or sheet metal work
Comfortable working in a lab and field environment
Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks or Onshape preferred)
Familiarity with Linux and command-line utilities is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or on cross-functional teams
Ability to travel up to 75% as needed for deployments and testing
