Job description

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, seeks a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) for a full-time position with our client.

Compensation: $29.00 per hour + $1/hr. night differential

This position is responsible for electrical and mechanical tasks on automated packaging and distribution equipment, utilizing knowledge to troubleshoot and repair control circuits, electrical distribution systems, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

1. Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
2. Maintain and troubleshoot all automated conveyor systems
3. Lead and audit preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance procedures
4. Perform PLC control diagnosis and maintenance (Allen Bradley)
5. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components
6. Utilize blueprints and schematics for maintenance
7. Collaborate with all organizational levels

Basic Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 2+ years experience with conveyor systems and controls
3. 2+ years experience in material handling equipment repair
4. 2+ years in predictive and preventive maintenance
5. 1+ years in metal and wood fabrication
6. 1+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics
7. 1+ year knowledge of electrical/electronic principles
8. Procedure-based maintenance experience (PM)
9. Ability to interpret equipment run metrics such as OEE/Up Time

Preferred Qualifications

1. Associate or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field
2. 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience
3. Experience with MHE safety standards per OEM and safety standards
4. Project management experience
5. Experience with CMMS
6. Knowledge of computer networking systems
7. Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation
8. Ability to troubleshoot input/output functions and logical devices
9. Basic Linux command line skills
