Job summary

Amazon in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the facility.

You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles while adhering to safety protocols and performing preventative maintenance with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching as needed.
