Job summary

C&W Services in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance Team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with MHE, preventive maintenance, and reading electrical schematics. The role requires flexible shifts and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of repair experience with material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2 years of experience with predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1 year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with document-management ability.
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safety: promote a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Maintenance: complete preventive maintenance with proper documentation; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on MHE.
• Monitoring: create, assign, close work orders with labor hours, maintenance, and parts; track inventory.
• Support: mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
• Communication: maintain positive relationships across the Operations facility.
