About The Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Here is what you can expect with the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) selection process for Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians: (Timeframe: Approximately 30-days)

Step 1: Application submission

Step 2: Application review and pre-employment assessment invitation

Step 3: Complete Criteria assessment within 5 days

Step 4: Complete a video interview via HireVue within 7 days

Step 5: Interview review and notification of next steps

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Maintain positive relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities
• Track and store department inventory
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Note: Shift assignments are subject to operational needs and scheduling constraints.

The typical shifts include:

• Front Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, e.g., Sunday to Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Back Half Day Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, e.g., Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Front Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, e.g., Sunday to Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM
• Back Half Night Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off, e.g., Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM
