About the Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have opportunities to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Maintenance: Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Monitoring: Create, assign, and close work orders, including data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Track and manage department inventory.
• Support: Mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles.
• Communication: Maintain positive relationships across all facility operations.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
• 2+ years conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 1+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics
• 1+ years knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical field from a vocational school or college
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards per OEM and safety standards
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions

Physical Demands

• Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, use aerial lifts, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform tasks wearing PPE such as hard hats, masks, shields, and safety shoes
• Regularly crouch, bend, reach, and move between departments, floors, and properties (6-12 miles daily)
• Work in warehouse environments with temperature fluctuations
• Type on a computer for 1-2 hours daily
