Mechatronics & Robotics Technician
About the Role
At C&W Services, we live by the belief that Better Never Settles. We are looking for a skilled technician to support our Operations Maintenance Team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE (e.g., belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays).
- Create, assign, and close out work orders, recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Mentor junior technicians.
- Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facilities.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems.
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
- 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ year of experience with electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Experience with MHE safety standards per OEM and safety standards.
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
Physical Demands
- Must reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift, and often lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
- Must frequently crouch, bend, and reach to install/move equipment.
- Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day.
- Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Regular computer usage (1-2 hours per day).
Compensation
Compensation: $24.37 - $28.67 per hour. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
