About the Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance Team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.
  • Monitoring: Create, assign, and close work orders, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Track and manage department inventory.
  • Support: Mentor junior technicians to foster growth.
  • Communication: Maintain positive relationships across all operations facilities.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in repairing MHE or automated conveyor systems and controls
  • 2+ years experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • 1+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics
  • 1+ years electrical and electronic principles knowledge
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards per OEM and safety standards
  • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic I/O functions
Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work with PPE such as hard hats, masks, shields, and safety shoes
  • Perform tasks involving crouching, bending, and reaching
  • Travel between departments, floors, and properties (6-12 miles/day)
  • Work in warehouse environments with temperature fluctuations
  • Type on a computer 1-2 hours daily
