Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to lead design and development of advanced vehicle components, wiring, power distribution, and control systems. You will manage mechatronics projects, coordinating with multiple internal departments and suppliers to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

The role emphasizes applying engineering principles to meet regulatory and safety standards, while leveraging the latest tech in the industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automotive Engineering, or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes & downstream impacts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design advanced vehicle components and systems.
• Apply theoretical principles and engineering techniques in vehicle design.
• Interface with engineering personnel to determine effective designs and materials.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers in product development.
• Research state-of-the-art vehicle developments and apply advances.
• Apply statistical and engineering techniques in design and testing; model as needed.
