Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer in the Gaffney, SC area to lead the design, development, and leadership of mechatronics engineering projects focused on advanced vehicle components, wiring, power distribution and control systems.

You will apply engineering principles to produce safe, reliable, energy‑efficient vehicles using the latest technology, collaborating with multiple departments and suppliers to bring designs to production and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated teamwork across cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and downstream impacts.
• Project Management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design advanced vehicle components and systems.
• Interface with engineering to determine design and materials for product parts.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers in development and testing.
• Research state‑of‑the‑art vehicle developments and apply advances.
• Apply statistical and engineering techniques in design and testing.
