Job summary

Commercial Sewing, Inc. is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to join its innovation team in Torrington, CT. You will help advance marine products, including powered Bimini systems, by designing electromechanical solutions and building prototypes for production.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and OEM customers while applying CAD skills, hands-on testing, and a passion for product innovation to move ideas from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience developing electromechanical products.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on engineering skills.
• CAD experience and a passion for product innovation.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where ideas matter.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative electromechanical products.
• Improve and expand powered Bimini technology platform.
• Work with motors, actuators, sensors, electronics, and user-interface systems.
• Build prototypes and validate designs through rigorous testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and OEM customers.
• Bring new products from concept to production.
