Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. seeks a Mechatronics Engineer to design, implement, and optimize industrial automation systems featuring PLCs, robotics, motion control, and machine vision. You will collaborate with engineering teams and customers from concept through startup.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, developing automation solutions, and ensuring safety and standards compliance. This role involves hands-on field support, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, electrical, automation, or related field.
At least 2 years designing or supporting industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

Design, integrate, and support automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, HMI, robotics, and machine vision.
Assist with installation, commissioning, startup and validation.
Create electrical schematics, narratives, manuals, and SOPs.
Evaluate systems and propose productivity upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting in production environments.
Participate in capital projects, budgeting, and scheduling.
Monitor progress and communicate milestones to stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and provide training.
