Job summary

Lamboo Medical in Harmony, North Carolina, seeks an experienced Mechatronics Engineer for an onsite 6-month contract. You will design, develop, and optimize integrated electromechanical systems supporting product development and manufacturing.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, QA, and regulatory teams to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance while advancing automated equipment and controls. Strong CAD/PLC skills and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience in manufacturing, automation, medical devices, or related environments.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of automation controls, sensors, motors, actuators, and industrial control technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mechatronic systems integrating mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software components.
• Support development, testing, and validation of medical devices, prototypes, and automated production equipment.
• Create engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Develop and troubleshoot control systems, sensors, actuators, robotics, motion control, and automation systems.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controllers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and process improvements.
