Job summary

Candidate should have 3–5 years in product development, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of control systems, sensors, power electronics, and DFMEA practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a product development role
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, robotics engineering or closely related field
• Strong working knowledge of control systems, sensors, power electronics, brushed and brushless motors
• Data acquisition and test design
• Strong technical background and good communication skills
• Experience leading or participating in DFMEA-based design methods
• Experience interacting with procurement and quality teams throughout the product development cycle

Responsibilities

• Develop actuator solutions for marine drive applications from hydraulic to electromechanical designs
• Participate in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary design and lab environment
• Bridge electrical and mechanical core competencies in product development
• Maintain Brunswick’s actuator portfolio while incorporating emerging technology
• Use systems engineering to create cohesive actuator designs for future products
• Guide technicians with test execution from start to finish
• Contribute to DFMEA activities and quality improvement projects
• Collaborate with data-based engineering community at Brunswick
