About Industrial Innovations

Industrial Innovations is a premier, West Michigan-based manufacturing company specializing in strategic lubrication

management systems and automated industrial equipment. As an authorized member of the FANUC Authorized

System Integrator (ASI) network, we engineer and deliver end-to-end industrial solutions—including proportional mixing,

precise spray application, fluid reclamation, and robotic cell integrations that help North American manufacturers work

smarter and faster.

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile Mechatronics Engineer to design, build, and optimize our advanced fluid management and

industrial automation systems. Because our products seamlessly integrate mechanical hardware, complex fluid

dynamics, and electronic controls, you will act as the technical bridge across these engineering disciplines. You will own

your projects throughout the complete lifecycle: from initial 3D design and PLC programming to hands-on testing,

assembly, and customer integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automated System Design: Design and integrate complex electromechanical systems, robotic fluid-spray systems, and industrial fluid recycling/reclamation machinery.
  • Control & Programming: Develop and program HMI controls and PLC-driven electronics packages (e.g., our Pro-Mix and Spra-Rite Beta platforms) to manage critical process variables.
  • Robotics Integration: Work directly with FANUC robotic hardware to configure, program, and run 3D robotic simulations for automated lubrication applications.
  • Fluid Dynamics Integration: Design layouts for pneumatic systems, valves, injectors, manifolds, and
  • Prototyping & Field Testing: Build physical prototypes, execute internal test plans, perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and ensure proper field performance.
  • Documentation & BOMs: Generate robust engineering drawings, schematics, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a matching technical discipline.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of hands‑on industrial experience involving automation systems, machine design, or systems integration.
  • Controls & PLC Programming: Experience programming industrial controllers and configuring touch‑screen HMIs (such as Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley or Siemens).
  • 3D CAD Software: Highly proficient in utilizing 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor) for mechanical layout design.
  • Hardware Fundamentals: Strong understanding of industrial components, including sensors, actuators, servo motors, solenoid valves, and manifolds.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
  • Background working directly with FANUC robot arms or software environments.
  • Experience working within metalworking or heavy‑manufacturing environments (e.g., Die Casting, Metal Stamping,
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, CAN bus).
Benefits Package

We offer a strong, comprehensive benefits package designed to invest in our team's health, financial security, and

  • Healthcare & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with flexible provider options.
  • Retirement Security: 401(k) retirement plan with a competitive company matching contribution.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous paid vacation days, personal time, and paid company holidays.
  • Disability & Life Insurance: Company-sponsored short-term/long-term disability coverage and life insurance
  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for technical training certifications (including FANUC specialized developer pathways).
