Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Design Release Engineer to support mechatronics hardware across vehicle sensing, chassis, and propulsion systems. You will manage design, development and release of requirements, hardware, and validation for in-cabin sensing and high voltage electronics.

The role requires broad technical knowledge, independent thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and supplier relationships to ensure on-time program delivery and cost-effective improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering required.
• Experience with SOR and CTS development.
• Automotive PPAP quality processes experience.
• DFMEA training and DFSS Black Belt or OpEx experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and validation for mechatronics hardware calibrations and application software.
• Lead Product Development Team (PDT) meetings to coordinate integration of components into the vehicle.
• Create and maintain CTS and ICD strategies and templates.
• Release components for prototype and production vehicles with Engineering Work Orders.
