Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma is launching a Mechatronics Apprenticeship.

This paid program blends 9 weeks of classroom instruction with on-the-job training to prepare you for maintenance or controls technician roles within a world-class logistics account. You’ll work to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, document preventative maintenance, and support safety.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to attend a 12-week in-person paid training.
• Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Solve electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Collaborate with Client and Operations Maintenance teams.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.

About the Role

The Mecha tronics and Robotics Apprenticeship program offers an extensive paid training in the Maintenance Technical field. Participants seeking an exciting career as a Maintenance or Controls Technician gain valuable skills through a combination of 9 weeks of classroom instruction and on-the-job learning that prepares them to join our account for a world-class leader.

What You’ll Do

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to attend a 12-week in person paid training at a designated training provider.
• Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
• Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
• Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.
